RIR's with who?

I am going to being getting (4) 4 month old RIR pullets this weekend. I am new to the chicken world, but ever so excited to be here after wanting, wishing and waiting for years to get to this point. These girls are coming from my daughter's school that needs to down size their flock. I was hoping to start with the magic number 7 and would like to bring in 3 more hens of different age and breed. There seems to be plenty of local sellers in my rural area and was wondering what age and breed would come together well with the 4 RIR pullets? I have a covered 8'x12' run with a sloped 7'-10' roof and eventually hope to have them out for the day.

How about rock x reds , or Rhode Island whites, my rir did not like the Wyandottes at first but now they co-exist
