Sorry for my ignorance but what is a Vitamix.

It's something like a blender, on steroids!

It cooks, grinds hard corn....wait, here you go:

I had some heart burn about paying $450.00 for a blender. But this thing isn't JUST a blender.

The blades go so fast it will actually make HOT soup!
I also grind wheat to make whole wheat bread.
And Smoothies forever without peeling or coreing apples. Just cut the zest off the outside of oranges and cut them in half, throw them in seeds, pith, and all. Strawberries and black berries have those little annoying seeds. This thing grinds them up so small you can't tell they are there!

Since I've been a personal chef I've killed two "blenders" and a food processor.
My Vitamix is almost indestructable (if properly cared for).

The only thing that has ever even gotten close is the "tailgate blender" It has a 1/4hp gas powered engine, handlebars and a crash helmet in case it throws you.
