I'm currently hatching 7 duck eggs (today I found the 8th with a blood ring). When I mist the eggs on a daily basis, the humidity naturally sky-rockets. I have the Hova-Bator 1588 so the humidity is supposed to be between 45% and 55%. I candle half the eggs one day and half the next so it alternates each day (except weekends since I'm hatching in my classroom). After candling, I mist and the humidity jumps to about 65%!!! I always end up standing GLUED to my incubator- whooshing out the humidity until it stabilizes within that 45-55% range. Is that okay? This is my first hatch and I want to do what's best for the eggs/ducks!
Any advice would be appreciated!
