Um. The bobcat has lost fear of humans if it's coming around in the day. Is this an animal you want hanging around in your neighborhood? He will not discriminate about what kind of meat he eats. Could be domestic cat, or some one's little dog.

I have seen no sign of him since, and I have been watching. One good thing about fresh snow every few days you can see who is coming to visit! If I see sign of him, I will definitely think about doing something.

I have seen bob cats and foxes, raccoons around here in day time thankfully none over the fence in with the birds. Just deer.

Just open up when your home and let your 2 out to free range, I have to be with mine when they go outside of the fence area.

I have seen no sign of him since, and I have been watching. One good thing about fresh snow every few days you can see who is coming to visit! If I see sign of him, I will definitely think about doing something.

I've had a new layer of fresh snow every day for almost a week now.

I would pound some t-posts in and string electric wire very tightly higher than the mesh, at least two strands. If it's set to a good charger, that should certainly make it think twice, especially if you do on a few inches higher than the mesh and then another about 8 inches above that one. Granted, if it's frozen there, you probably can't get the posts in the ground right now. I'd only let them out while you're home and can go outside often. Maybe leave a radio on a talk station rather loud out there so it thinks people are around?
