Vali lived in a cave. Not because she needed to. Certainly, a dinosaur of her size had no need for protection, except maybe protection from the annoyance that rain provided. Vali lived in a cave because it added to her terrifying, mystical aura. In a younger, less fearsome dinosaur, this would have been laughable. But unfortunately, Vali pulled it off.
In her age, Vali had picked up some particularities, one of those being the desire to wake up later in the morning, after all, what sane individual would want more hours in the day than she already had. Vali was not particularly fond of sunbeams interrupting her beauty sleep (it had to be admitted, she was magnificent). So a cave allowed her to catch a few extra hours.
It was a large cave, easily large enough that she could stand and stretch without bumping her head on the ceiling. This she did, stretching out her great neck and unfurling her long tail.
She may have picked up a few particularities over the years but she was in the prime of her glory, gigantic, lean yet powerful. She was actually in a fantastic mood this morning but she reminded herself that this was only because she had not yet interacted with anybody. Trust other dinosaurs to ruin it.
She tempered her joy with a disdainful air and stomped out of her cave, high stepping like a slow, dignified Hackney horse.
