I connected my one foot grounding rod in wet soil with my 6 foot rod stuck in dryer soil the other day. The next morning, I went outside and found a dog in my yard. I yelled at it, it got startled and ran directly into my fence. It caught three strands at once, pulled a somersault and a half midair, and hit the ground both yelping and running. Success at last!
