Roaming Quail

As of yesterday I acquired 11 quail chicks. I would like to know if I let my quails roam during the during the day when they get older, is there a chance they will come back to roost? Or am I just best to make them a shelter and let them do their own thing?

I do not think that quail would stay around if allowed to roam.

Letting them out is the same as feeding them to your local predators

Yeah pretty much what the previous poster said , we have cats and have lost a couple coturnix and a pair of buttons to a chance escape outside.
