Robin abandoned nest! Could the eggs be alright?!??

I'd leave them alone. Baby birds like that are near impossible to keep alive unless you know what you're doing. Not to mention you having to incubate them if they are even alive. I wouldn't even candle them. If the mom is gone, toss the nest and eggs so the toddler doesn't accidentally crack one and see a dead fetus.

maybe the mom didn't have a nest??? maybe she was building it?

True! I’ve seen robins do that. Again thanks for everyone help. I thought I could possibly help by now I’m thinking other wise. I’ll try to keep the toddler away

I said if the mom's gone, throw everything out. It's not like it's an ideal location since it's a child's play area. Why would you want her to lay more eggs there? As someone else said, if they are over two weeks old, they're dead anyway. The mother Robin will find a better location and have more eggs. Robins can also be huge jerks when they have babies. I've been dive-bombed a million times for walking past a tree with a nest in it. My opinion is toss it and if a new nest starts getting built, toss it so you don't have this problem in the future. Put up some nice bird houses is a safe location. Put some drier lint and pet fur by trees. Birds love that stuff for building nests. Then you all can be happy.

i meant when she saw her 3 weeks ago maybe she wasn't "setting" yet.
