Hi my robin eggs that i found are now in my incubator and i checked up on then and they were pipping what do i do

those will be much more dependant than a chicken. they need very high protein too. the mother feeds them regurgetated worms and bugs. i don't know how you can duplicate that?

As robins are also insectivores, I would give this link a look:

http://www.starlingtalk.com/babycare.htm

Robins require high protein in their diets, just as starlings and house sparrows do. The only reason this site does not cover robins, from what I know, is that technically the possession of robins, their feathers, their eggs or their nests is illegal by the migratory bird law. Not that this law stops people from enjoying these birds as pets or rehabilitating abandoned or injured ones. I've done it in the past.

A newborn robin needs to be fed very often. We're talking every 30 minutes, until it stops begging. It's more difficult than with pigeons and parrots because although the formula need not be mixed or fed in any special way, there is no specific way of knowing when they're full and when they're hungry. They have no visible crop. If you follow that site, however, you should have luck.

We found a baby blue jay last year and I went out and bought fish bait worms...I didn't mash them, but cut them into tiny pieces...fed it with tweezers....we found a rehab center that took it..

lol...they do eat alot! and they can't help themselves! they be born pretty much pink and blind too. they will have therir mouth open as soon as they hear a noise close by!

Ive tried to save baby birds before. You have to feed them cut up worms every thirty min or dry kitten food that you have moistened to be as soft as a worm. Mine didnt make it but yes every thirty min you have to feed them.

I have done this successfully but a LONG time ago and it wasnt newly hatched either....I used cut up worms and wet cat food, though one time I did use dry cat food wetted down. They alway seem to be eating so get ready!
