Robin sitting on eggs!

Today I saw something I've never seen before, and never even knew could/would ever happen. A Robin was sitting on an chicken egg! Runa, one of my favorite girls, routinely lays her egg in our old metal shed that's missing the doors. I have seen this Robin hanging out in the yard, and it's even had some interaction with my flock. I was completely shocked to see her sitting on Runa's egg! Has anyone seen this, or heard of a wild bird taking a motherly interest in eggs from your flock?

That's one tiny chicken you have! she wants to be a chicken momma, not a bird momma!

Well, it might be an ongoing saga.
Unless the chicken who the nest 'belongs' to has something unfriendly to say about it.

Runa lays an egg there every morning, sometimes she even hot foots it first thing when I open the coup Her egg is normally ignored until I collect it later in the afternoon, so I am hoping the Robin comes back! I will have to be sure to take my phone each time I go out to check on my flock
