There is no hope for you now. You were already addicted to BYC and you have went down the road to the Hotel California where you can check out any time you want but you can Never leave!

You're dating yourself, Fudgie! Love those Eagles!!!

Rob, how exciting for you to finally hatch some chicks!!!! I'll bet your girls will be super-attached to them. There's just something about little humans and little chicks!

The 3rd one just started to pop out of the shell. The other two saw all the excitement and they grabbed her with their beaks and pulled her out of the shell. What a bunch of little raptors!

They're terrorizing the poor defenseless thing, but I'll not interfere since we have at least one other pipping.

how cool....
Little baby chicks..
It all starts with a few inocent hatches
then it go to having baby chicks run the house, pretty soon the kids are taking the chickens to school for show and tell, and the next thing you know you shopping your local feed mill for Christmas and birthday gifts for your chickens. All along you find your self more and more sucked into the whole baby chicken thing and you never seen it coming...

BYC is NOT a support group....It is an enabler....It will suck you in and have you under it's controll in no time.

You have officially LOST you will to live without it. I bet you were doing pretty good just ordering baby chicks through the mail, or even putting them under a broody hen...Well know those sweet days are only memories...You are gonna be hooked....

It's tooooo late....You may run.....But you will never beable to hide from the chicks again........

the Enabler group!!!!!

BYC should stand for 'bring your chickens' or even 'bring your cartons' (as in egg cartons) because it's beyond the 'back yard' now....lol

if they are making the other chick "pant" lay on its side,, or "pulling" at it,, i would grab a sponge, soak it down,, have the wifers open the bator, nift can grab the 2 raptors, throw the sponge in,, and close it up,,, FAST,,,, but only if it looks like the smaller chick is being beat on bad.

Well, we were || close to taking the two bullies out, but right when we were going to do it we decided that the new tiny could fend for herself.

About 2 hours ago the big green/brown egg hatched! WOOT.

We've got 3 left in there that don't seem to be doing a thing, but we'll be patient and wait.

Question: How the heck do you remember who all these chicks are? We are naming them and trying to look for distinguishing characteristics, but it is really really hard when they look so similar to one another and without picking them up to put a leg band or something on them. We've only got 4... can't imagine if we had 40!
