Thanks, MissPrissy! I wrapped a damp paper towel around the egg a little bit and pulled a super small piece of shell off. Looked a little dry so I peeled the membrane away that was still covering the chick at the open pip site. The membrane i pulled away seemed damp so I decided to stop and replace the egg. I left the paper towel in since I'm sure opening the incubator didn't help the humidity. It's not tightly wrapped around the egg though. The chick cheeped when I picked it up, so it sounds okay, but we're still a little worried. I wonder if I should've broken more shell away to help the zipping process a bit more, but we'll see how she does. Here are pics of our already hatched chicks:
