Rock-n-Roll chicks

Awesome :) I'll keep you posted, good luck with your babies too!

Lost my humidity down to 37% overnight so I immediately added warm water and brought it back up this morning. No egg rocking today, no pip or peeps. I decided to make a change to the incubator while maintaining egg temp in order to restore humidity balance. I hope I didn't affect the baby by doing this. I kept the egg laying in the exact same position as it was in the incubator, very little manipulation. Also, I checked and there was no internal pip or movement however the air sac looks much better today. I'm freaking out. I hope our baby is still alive #first time mommy problems lol

Good luck! It's always scary when the humidity drops, but it doesn't affect the eggs as much if they haven't pipped yet. I woke up and went to check on the bator, we've got 5 more pips and lots of chirping! Now I just have to go out and see how my broody is doing.

Oh ok that makes me feel much better. Thank you for replying and I'm so excited for you!!

Well, a lot has happened in just a few hours. All but 3 eggs out of 17 have pipped, and we have 4 chicks already!! We have three black ones, and a red. I put them all under my broody, who accepted them graciously, and I will make sure to get pictures to post when they fluff up. Meanwhile, here's a picture of the first chick right after she hatched!

Oh my goodness, I love it!!!

Soooo cute!! Still nothing here. I'm becoming doubtful but I think that's part of the process. I'll give it a few more days and see. Can't wait to see more pics :):)
