Well I lost the baby. I did an eggtopsy and found a fully formed chick with an unabsorbed yolk and clear sac around it keeping it balled up tight. Not sure if that's supposed to be there or not. I have pics if that helps? I don't know what went wrong. It was doing great until I took it out of the turner and upped the humidity. Maybe too much humidity, maybe temp was too low. I'm not sure. Either way, next time I will do a better job at measuring that stuff. It was my very first incubation and I only had 1 egg AND it made it to lockdown so I'm happy about that! lol. I've got a few more to try since my hens are finally laying again. We will see...wish me luck and pray for healthy babies!

Hi, sorry you lost the egg, but good job getting it to where it was! Things have been a little hectic around here, but we just had to cull a chick that was born with a deformity, and we had two that didn't hatch for unknown reasons. Good luck with your next hatch though, hopefully more will come out of it.
