Mrs.Broody,my family hen has sat eacg spring....q
The hen that is might be going broody right now almost always does at least once a year. Last year she(Sassy) hatched out El Drago, a Australop/Isa brown mix, and some pheasants. There was a silkie egg as well as her own egg under her, but they failed to hatch.

Hello. This morning has been a good one for me. First, I think one of my hens is starting to go broody, good thing too, I have a pair of silkies and would like to incubate their eggs under a hen, also when the hen hatches the silkie eggs, I'll buy some chicks from TSC and put them with the hen so I don't have to keep the chicks inside in a brooder. When I was watering my pheasants, a wild ringneck hen was outside the cage and flushed when I approached. I didn't know it was there until it flushed and I seen it in the air and then it flew in my horse pasture.

Cool. This morning was good for me too. I went out to give my chickens some water and check on them. But i could not find one of my Americanas. So I looked over my fence and while I was on the fence i heard a chicken screem when my dog went into my shed. Ha! first time a chicken has scard my dog. lol. She was taking a dust bath. For the first time this winter. Whwn ever its warmer out that one americana always flys over.

You gonna do anything special over spring break? I might be going to Texas to visit my cousins who live down there.
