Rocky64's chat thread: anything is welcome

Cool, I got 10 yesterday. And I only collected 9 because my chickens ate one. They tend to eat the small eggs that are not with many other eggs. Also it's so warm here that there's water every where around my chickens coop!

I know It may be dumb to ask but what's a able hen?
An able hen is a term that I use to describe a hen that is not over the hill on her egg laying ability, such as a hen not over 3 years old. I just kinda made up the term, I think it makes sense though.

I got about 13 eggs yesterday from most of my hens and the older hens.I think three of them have Cocci disease,so i'm treating it,If I go to the TSC store tomorrow

13 eggs from how many hens?

Makes sense.
I have a 4 year old BO who lays 1-2 eggs every 2 days.

It's around 45 degrees here. My pond is in the process of melting, and I'm glad. I found 2 dead big bluegill, as well as LOTS of dead baby bluegill, and dead frogs, just casualties of the harsh winter. Last year I released 2 goldfish in the pond and before I knew it, I had hundreds of baby goldfish in my pond.

I have a big fish tank and I got a little fish to add to it and after like a week of having the little fish it had 15 baby's then a week later it had 10 more.Than a month later it had 10 more. I have a lot of baby fish now! I hope the fish in my pond are not dead from the cold winter or swept away from the melting snow water. Now it's like 35 degrees out.

I think every fish in my pond died, as the pond almost froze completely from surface to mud. I have a koi and a goldfish in my tank right now and plan to release them when it's not gonna get below freezing over night. Years ago, there was a few koi in my pond, and the biggest one was over 2 feet long! But we had a winter-kill, and the giant fish was one of the casualties, along with EVERY single fish and multiple frogs and turtles. I have a big tank in my basement that I got for Christmas that I plan to set up. I'm gonna have my 2 bluegill fry that I have right now( came from the pond last year, and boy are they handsome). I also have a Cory cat and a minnow(lake caught) that are going in the tank, I want to get at least one more Cory cat, and some cherry barbs or a pair of sword tails.
