So... How's everyone's chickens doing? Oh! And the geese and pheasants?!

My chickens are good they got to freerange this week since its like 70 degrees here.

Well, the stupid hatchery guy didn't have turkies or geese,but will next freaking month!So I got six baby chicks and two ducklings.Everyone is doing just great,I even think special girl (a silver laced Wyandotte,)has imprinted on me,and so did my duck I believe so.She seems to like my neck a lot,her main cuddling spot....

Could anyone tell me how to vent sex?

That's cool. How many turkeys are you getting? My chickens like to go on my neck to. One does it all the time when I pick her up and than she walks on my back!

Vent sexing chicks can kill chicks if your not super well trained. But if you want to risk it (which I don't recommend) hold the chick gently in you hand belly up. Make shure he/she has poopped recently and hold their head very gently with a finger to keep them from moving and squeeze the little bett part also known as the vent. If there's a little dot in there he's a rooster but if there's no dot she's a hen. Don't try this though! It is super dangerous to chickens and chicks and can kill them if not done by a professional.

Hello friends, I haven't been on recently cause I'm just too busy with A LOT of things but I've taken a SMALL break to update y'all's. I only had 3 chicks hatch from my eggs but my grandparents surprised me with 8 more. 4 Isa browns and 4 welsummers.
