Sorry I meant birthday (well it is hatch day)

my chickens ages are now 2,3,4 and 5! I do want to get hatching eggs though, for my broody hen.

That's a nice diversity of ages. I had two BO sisters pass in the last year who were both 8 or more years old! And one still laid eggs. I had her daughter but she died suddenly of something and her half brother and only hatch mate died soon after, after a leg injury.

That's odd. I had a pullet who somehow broken her leg, on flat ground a couple years ago.
What where their names?

their names were Mason and Grace( whom I used to call Gracie too) they were nice chickens, Mason wasn't as friendly as Gracie was though. And it is strange how chickens can injure themselves even without anything that seems dangerous
