Rod Runs are starting!

The first Rod RUn of the year is this weekend. There are TONS of classic cars, hot rods and custom motorcycles converging on Gatlinburg as we speak.
AND MY CAR IS STILL IN THE SHOP!!!!!

Oh how I miss driving my old 1966 Chevy II SS up to Gatlinburg... *sigh*

It had a Supercharged small block and 4:11 gears, if I still had it I'd have to get a bank loan for the fuel it would take to drive to the show.

Here are a couple pics of my 1949 Plymouth Deluxe 4 door Sedan that I am restoring.

It still has all original EVERYTHING, (and I do mean everything) as I found out when I put it in the shop to get the brakes redone. Except for the brake pads, it still had all the original factory parts! I am the third owner. It's had the plug wires and tires replaced, but that's about it. Even the paint is the original!

The brake system had to be completely re-done and all the lines bent by hand. Now they are just going over it and checking the systems for stuff that needs replacing for safety before I can take her home. *I* am not a mechanic, and have no clue how to figure out *WHY* a car won't start or makes a funny noise etc., but if I know what the problem is, if it's not too complicated, I can work on it. So they are sending her home with a list of mechanical stuff that needs doing and what I can't handle, I'll bring her back in for. The cosmetic stuff I can handle.
Funny, if it's got 4 legs, I can figure it out and fix it, but 4 wheels? FORGET IT!!

I've got all the chrome pieces for the sides, they are just off right now.
