Hello,
New to this website. Seems like a great place to answer any questions regarding getting started and maintaining my future chicken run and coop. Right now I'm just doing research. My Wife is phobic about mice. I mean to the extreme. I'm trying to convince her, that I can mitigate the mouse problem associated with keeping chickens. The information I've found so far has been a great start!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

If you build a tight coop, mice shouldn't get in, however sometimes it occasionally happens. I keep mouse traps in the attic or in tiny corners no chicken can get into. Mice sure are creepy, but they are attracted to the feed and scratch grains.

Best wishes with all your plans, make yourself at home here and ask as many questions as needed.

Welcome! Just put up a box with holes near the bottom big enough for mice to enter, but nothing else. Lay all the snap traps you can fit inside.

Another eradicator...chickens.

This is a vole though. It's in front of Louie. I was tossing some scrambled eggs to the chickens and he was focused on something so I looked.

Very friendly little buggers, darker colored with a very short tail. Louie got him, and he and someone got others, as I've seen remains a few times.
