Yes the camera goes into the nest box... I made the lan cable too short so I put it in the coop tonight kinda ran out of time. I'd like to make a smaller package maybe with a Raspberry Pi Zero (wifi only). I need to get a fish eye camera for the nest box I think. And yes I love to invent and build stuff.

Here is a photo from the RPi Camera, I have it temporarily mounted in the roost box. Pretty good quality image 3280 × 2464 still picture resolution, 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p90 video record

I just peeked under the curtain an 3 of my ladies were in the nest box with room to spare. I think I got the size right finally.

Yes when I'm designing equipment the second go around I add Mk2 so I can keep track of versions. So yea the roll out nest box is the third version I built.

Are RIR pullets normally broody?

Is the 'Mk' a standard version prefix? Never heard of it.

Not sure about RIR broody pullets, but anything is possible.

I just made it up lol, I've always worked by myself so I've never had to adhere to any company standards. When I got my first copy of SolidWorks no one in the factory I worked at even heard of CAD before...
