Rolling Chickens

    Is it normal for chickens to dig holes and start rolling around and freaking out im not sure if thats normal or if my chickens are special.

    If they are digging holes in the dirt and rolling in it thats normal.
    They are dust bathing[​IMG]

    Don't feel bad, Brett. The first time I saw my chickens do that I thought they were having a seizure. Yeah, a little overprotective I guess....

    Yep that's a dust bathing bird. Just wait til you see one flatten out and stretch out its wings on the ground in the sun. They look so dead until you get close or touch them and then they jump up, shake off and go on about their business
