Brin sighed, he liked the wolves but they apparently didn't like him, wen after he had killed the most coyotes for them. He took off to the sky and followed Brutus.

Brutus made his way to a pit that seemed to emit heat, and indeed it did. The pit was a small active lava spout, brutus lay by it, warming himself carefully.

Brin laid himself as close as he dared to the wolf. He made a sad sounding warble and spread his wings over the warm ground.
