Romantic Music

Nice!
Annie's song has always been my favorite of his.
I think this concert might be the best live version of this song. Just my opinion.
I was in Aspen with friends, one of whom was a guitar player from Michigan. He had a man crush on John Denver. It was Denver's birthday during the time we were there. My friend was in a drug store buying a birthday card for his hero. He was in line at the register. He didn't notice but the guy in line in front of him was Denver. When the guy checked out he turned to leave and ran right into my friend. He was so star struck, he couldn't speak. I said, "why didn't you just hand him the card"?
Actually, I was dating a woman named Annie at the time who was with me on the trip.
For real? That's pretty cool man, I would've had to say something! I've always seemingly connected with John Denver and his songs about nature and stuff...

I'm surprised The Office goes down well in the USA. It's very British humour.
I liked the British office too but the humor in it is a lot drier. Michael Scott kinda started out like Ricky gervais character but they changed it after a couple of episodes so Michael became more of a kid that never grew up than a narcissist. And you say it's surprising but Monty Python was also quite popular in the US and that's entirely British humor

I was going to do this one tomorrow but this may be a good time.
A few may have heard of the Barefoot Princess (what her fans call Angelina Jordan).
A true child prodigy.
It is also interesting that you don't like Jazz. Angelina was introduced to jazz by her grandmother when she was 18 months old and she's been singing all genres ever since (including jazz). I believe she just turned 17. She is called the barefoot princess because she always performs barefoot to bring attention to poor children around the world. When she was quite young, she was traveling with her grandmother in Iran when she befriended a poor girl in the street who had no shoes. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes. From then on she vowed to always perform barefooted till all children have shoes who need them. She wrote a book about her experience and became the youngest published author in Norway. As a fundraiser, she has raised millions of dollars for environmental issues and poor children around the world.
Besides Norwegian, she speaks English, Iranian, Swedish, and Japanese. She also sings in Spanish.
She plays piano, violin, guitar and flute.
She has been arranging the music for all her performances since the start. She is also a composer and songwriter but mostly known for her covers of other disparate artists work, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Elvis Presley, Queen, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Carol King, Michael Jackson and John Legend.
I'm going to post several of her songs here, I'll try to stick to the theme of love songs as much as possible but I'll add a couple others from her performances in the adult version competition of Norway's got talent at 7 and won at 8. One of her most popular covers is 'I Put a Spell on You' by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. A very adult song for a girl to sing at the age of 9.
I think the first one has those Norway performances so you can see her progression. And @Ninjasquirrel, you may have a different view of Jazz after these.

At 9 in a studio covering Screamin' Jay Hawkins 1956 song 'I put a spell on you'. You'll see her making notes at the beginning for last minute arrangement changes for the band. Before she begins, she is holding a candle with the picture of Jay Hawkins.
The excellent studio musicians can hardly withhold their glee at her amazing talent.

Elvis Cover - Love Me Tender

Another Elvis Cover - Suspicious Minds

Adele Cover - All I Ask

Whitney Houston - I will always love you. Not the best acoustics in this Oslo attic studio.

A little more recent, I think she is 16 here doing Foreigner's 'I Want to Know What Live is'.

A collection of some of her best.

Her AGT performances at 13 including her covers of Queen and Elton John.
I've listened to a couple and while I agree she has great talent, I just don't like her voice.
