Ronsec dosage for Canker?

wow. I'm having some real issues editing this post. Can I get some advice so I can clean it up? Some have the option to edit, others do not. I just want to get rid of one I double posted.
I don’t think you can edit or delete really old posts/replies. But newer ones you should be able to via the 3 little dots in the lower left corner of your post right next to the report bell.

All you have to do is to click on the post and go down to edit, and change what you need.

Have you seen any dry fowl pox? If not, and if the bird has a bad odor, that would be pretty much assumed to be canker. Do you have a lot of pigeons or migrating birds who drink out of your waterers? A vet who was helpful might take a tiny piece of the canker tissue and look at it under a microscope to confirm a protozoan infection.
I'm looking forward to hearing how this works out for you. You may consider adding a few drops of iodine to the water to limit the spread. Sorry to hear your having this issue and hoping for the best!

Thank you. We have been dealing with it for two months. It’s horrible.

Many people treat canker with acidified copper sulfate as well, especially if other anti-protozoan drugs don’t help. Also you can use it for 3 days a month as a preventative for canker/trichomoniasis. Dosage is 1/4 tsp per gallon of water for 7 day treatment or 3 day prevention. Here is a good price:

Thank you. I put the ACS in her water and in the flock's water as well. I have been removing some of the canker and put her back on regular water. I read that would be painful with the removal of the lesions. I will definitely be doing that for the flock 3 days each month. We have so many doves and wild birds. I'm surprised I haven't had this problem before.

UPDATE: I had to put my girl Keri down. I got a preliminary report from the UC Davis necropsy. She had the lesions going back to her throat. She also had a bad chronic infection in her oviduct and in her body. The final report will show if the lesions were canker/trichomonas or wet pox. When I get the final report I'll report back. Thanks for the support and advice.

I’m so sorry you lost her. You tried really hard to save her, it was kind of you to try. I hope you can find comfort in knowing she is out of any pain and suffering and that you did everything you could :hugs
