I would not return him until fully recovered...the other birds often react agressively to an ill or weak bird.

That is pretty much what I thought. I figured he would be in the chicken infirmary for a while. The swelling seems to have abated somewhat in his neck. I think he has some trouble bending his neck to eat, seems as thought it is easier for him to have a elevated food dish, so he only has to tilt his head down. I am still supervising his eating to make sure he swallows without any real difficulty.
