I had a few that were evil to hens, trying to draw blood on them, if fact I have one now I am considering "processing" because he keeps attacking hens for no reason... anyway, I take the mean ones and hold them upside down. I walk around with them like that for about a minute, then make them sit in my arms while I give them the Vulcan Mind Meld. I talk to them in a deep voice and crow at them a few times, then I put them back in the coop. Most stop for awhile, some don't. Those that don't have to go. I have one rooster that is my Alpha and he's never been mean to another chicken, or to me, and he spends most of his time watching guard. He's the one I'll be keeping as long as possible.
This Guy here was the Best Roo. He was huge and never once tried to attack. My girls at the time Backs were all tore up, we thought it was him but come to find out it was one of the ducks having his way with the Girls, and while chasing them down would pull feathers with his bill.

you dont think that duck semen can fertilize a chicken do you?
We did end up with a chicken who sat on a few of the duck eggs, and hatched out 3 chicks and 2 ducks. Well, the 3rd generation ducks were funny looking. Although I know it can't happen.....
What would the offspring be called? A Chuck? Or a dicken?
It can but they don't fully form and won't hatch. Had this happen when I was growing up....we had eliminated all poultry except a rooster and one duck. They got busy quite a bit. She had a large nest of eggs and we waited....and waited....and waited. Finally, broke open an egg...tiny body but couldn't tell what exactly they would look like. So, if a chicken can fertilize a duck, why not the other way around?
