I have a BO roo who is about 18 wks. He has begun to do his thing with 1 or 2 of our hens, mostly just the one [he does seem awful rough] , he doesn't pay any attention to the other 7-8 hens. There are 2 more roos in with them, but he is definitely the main guy around here. I know we have too many roos for that # of hens, but we have 11 more hens that we are waiting til they get big enough to put in with all the others. That said, my husband does not like the big man, he says he is just to mmmmmm......cocky:lol:

. He does strut around like he is king of the walk and the other roos are not allowed to touch any of the hens because he comes running, but he doesn't ever go to these other hens, so why shouldn't the other roos have thier ladies too? Okay I'm fairly new at chickens but that just seems fair, doesn't it? I like Roe Hoe, the big guy, but he does kinda have an attitude, but hey, aren't roosters supposed to?

Sounds like a normal roo to me. My roo has 13 girls to pick from, but he does have his favorites. I also have one hen that isn't going to let him use her no way, no how.
Your Roe Hoe is the alpha and he's running a tight ship. Nothing wrong with that.
