Roo bit me

Does he stop or 'attack' when you do this?
Fine line here.
He should come running but stop when he sees it is you and you tell him firmly but softly, it's OK.
He stops. When he bit me my back was to him and I didn't see him. I'm not going to try to change his ways unless he attacks us. I feel like he is just doing his job. He thought I was hurting the other chicken albeit another Rooster.

I had miniature poodles that were afraid but respectful of my chickens. I would get that one that stalks the dogs and "fix her wagon"!
My Big meanie hasn't been any nicer since she's been laying. I am considering re-homing her. She has my other two nervous and jumpy.
Fixing her wagon has definitely crossed my mind. I really don’t have anyone that would want her if she is a witch either.

I think your just dealing with normal young chicken behavior, as they get older they usually calm down. But that said, they all have there own personalities and some are just nasty as older birds.
I will definitely give her some time to see how things play out with her. She doesn’t chase me around or anything so that helps. She just bites me if I try to handle her. So unless she has a health issue I will be golden for awhile. If she has a health problem and I need to handle her and she attacks me then she will be out of luck probably in more ways than one especially if she gets egg bound at an early age. It will be too bad so sad for her.
