ROO crowing

I have a ten week old that is just starting to find his voice... there are no laws against having a cockerel (rooster) here in England ... plus we live in a village... however if the neighbours complain the law usually backs them up and you have to get rid of it... I have read in the local press of villagers sending threatening letters saying that they will go around and kill the rooster... the english are pretty pathetic at times... they'll put up with dogs barking car alarms going off... loud music and traffic noise but as soon as a cockerel crows its as if the world has ended...

I'd personally build a run to keep your rooster on your own property. Depending on your neighbor, they have the right to pick him up and bring him into the humane society or even worse. I'd hate to see any losses of your chickens. Or build a fence along the boarder and clip his wing. Good luck.
