I have a adorable roo and I was taking him on a walk like I always do well he had gotten out of my grip! He had ran! I saw family member in the coop so I ran to get help from them well enough, we managed to get him back!
Just a story to share.

Note to self:
Don't take chickens on walks!

Yes, chickens are not meant for walks.
If you want to go on walks WITH him, put a harness on and hold him and the leash.

My husband was repairing the egg house and hit one of the latches. I'm inside and hear Roos fighting. I go outside and see coop chickens are in the yard with free-range chickens. The yard roosters are fighting with my coop Roo. Separating the Roos was easy. I just grabbed Dirk by his tail and threw him back in the coop. The girls - Chicken Walk. With 15 other girls in the yard and 4 other Roos, it was a CIRCUS!
