Gary (geareduplyn) has some nice bbs ameraucana and I got nice wheaten/blue wheaten ameraucana eggs from Jean (pips & peeps). If you want to keep blue don't use EEs, go with a pure breed. Also, since most of the chickens have been laying so long their eggs aren't as dark. Get some in the spring

Hello All,
Maybe someone can answer my question. If a Golden Campine rooster mates with a brown laying hen what color eggs will the offspring produce?

Hmmm........maybe way off here, but it seems you would want a Roo from a white egg laying family (Campine, white/Brown Leghorn etc) to breed with your Hen that you think has the blue egg gene.

Since green eggs are just tinted eggs with the the blue gene layed over them. Seems like you would have a better chance getting truely blue eggs if one of the parents carried the white gene rather than the brown gene.
