Roo or Hen? What breed?

I would agree, Turken/Transylvania Naked Neck/Naked Neck. It is definitely a cockerel. If you look close in the picture, you can see some spur buds.

She probably is one of those hens that take on the characteristics of a rooster. This usually happens when there is no leader. I would love to see a picture of her. Does she look like a rooster or hen? Does she sound like a rooster or hen? So cool!

Her name is Racy and she's my oldest hen, almost 7. She's a New Hampshire Red and it's a pathetic crow. LOL!! I've read that if there's no Rooster, the leader will take over and give the rally call in the morning.

Lots of hens have spurs also. The boy appears to be N.N. Mix. And is definitely a rooster. Look at the saddle feathers, they don't lie. Plus the crowing, it's a rooster!

The vet said the beak may grow back. It's like a fingernail, so it depends where it's broken off. I've seen a little growth in the few weeks I've had Lucky. Lucky can eat mash..chicken food mixed with water, also feeding oatmeal, pumpkin..Lucky can scoop with the bottom beak. i really love Lucky, but I can't have Roosters where I live and Lucky is causing a stink with my flock. Hopefully, I can find a good home, but Lucky will stay here until I find a perfect place

Yep, that's a cockerel, but you got that figured by now.

And yea, I was gonna say that hens can get spurs too. I have a gold spangled hamburg hen that has small spurs growing.
