Roo or hen???

I have 6 golden comets. 5 are laying eggs but the 6th is either not laying at all or out in the woods. I've noticed that this one looks slightly different than the others. Is it a rooster? I haven't heard it crow yet but I'm thinking it might be since I'm only getting 5 eggs. It was sold to me as a hen. Ty

Not a rooster. She's a darker than average red sexlink. Golden Comet is a 'brand' of red sexlink. Roosters are white with red on the shoulders/wings.

depending on when your chickens started laying, this chicken may just be a little bit late to lay, or she lays every other day, and another hen lays on the days that this hen does not. so you have an interworking system of one egg every other day from different 2 hens.

Looks like a "Production Red"....that's a Rhode Island Red cross to increase egg production.

That looks like a hen to me. She's very pretty!
