Received last week from my pet chicken thought 6 week old

I would say he's a good bit older than 7 weeks. Saddle and hackle feathers don't usually appear until about 14 weeks. He's definitely male though.

Looks like cockerel to me also, due to saddle feathers and did you say 6 weeks? If so, definitely cockerel

I agree I was thinking about 16 weeks

I too tbougjt he looked larger thats cool he is a sharp looking cockerel and happy to have him as my first Rooster
