its not an early cockerel, so you have to wait for it to be at least 8 weeks old for us to figure it out.

We thought she was a buff orpington but her feet are blue so now we are wondering if she id a blue. She is very sweet just like the olive egger.

Here is the most recent pic of my olive egger. Are we still thinking pullet? I hope so as she is very sweet and funny. She is the biggest and oldest of our 4.

This is our partridge chantecler
I have a feeling this one may be too early to tell as she is the youngest.
I have read about this chicken having solid black feathers if male. She has some black hut does not appear to be solid.
Still new to this mystery of sexing chicks!

So here we are a day or 2 shy of 8 weeks. Her tail is making me think she is really a he. Anyone else have thoughts or experience? She also sounds like a duck at night.

Anyone have any thoughts on our Orpington? Her comb is not as dark as it was. She is getting waddles that are as dark as her comb was.
