Roo or Hen?

That was the smoothest hijacking of a thread that I've ever seen.:lau. Just poking fun, I really don't care. I do the same thing with my new flock. I'm 99.9% sure I have all pullets, but a couple of times, I think I talked myself into seeing all roosters. Patience is a pita. I'm not good at sexing so this was a useless post by me.
😀 Wasn’t planning on hijacking the thread as I have posted pictures before, but when an opportunity presents itself, go with it😆.

Ok just noticed one.
Pic 2, the Easter Egger there.

I don't know what age they are, but you can tell pretty well from their faces the age.
That's the only cockerel I can see.
Not bad.

I’m new here and I know this is going to sound dumb but I have a trick for sexing chicks and I’m right almost 100% of the time.

This is how I raise my chicks, I never handle them except to clean out their pens. I do this with all my chicks regardless of their origin (farm store vs show line) and breed type (ayam cemani, lavender Orpington, Isabel lavender Orpington, cuckoo maran, turkens, crested leg bath, RIR, Ameraucanas, etc. . .)

What I’ve noticed regardless the breeding the chicks that grow up to be roosters will always be the sweetest and most outgoing chicks. If I ever get pecked by a chick it always grows up to be a hen.

At about 7/8 weeks there is a shift, the chicks that grow up to be roosters and that were outgoing will suddenly become standoffish. Whereas the chicks that grow up to be hens that previously ran away or pecked me will suddenly calm down, stop pecking, and will approach me.

I use this to sex my Ameraucanas bc to me they are the hardest breed to sex.
