I have some 7-8 week old araucana and glw chickens that I am wondering if they are a cockerel or hen. I have 2, one of each breed that are different.

At least one of your GLW’s has a single comb which just means that you probably got them from a hatchery. Your so called ’araucana’s’ are actually EE’s (Easter Eggers). With the age that you say they are, there seems to be a few cockerels. The one on the right in pic 1 is definitely a male and perhaps the one on the left, the focused GLW in pic 2 is male, pic 3 is just one of the ones from another pic (I think), pic 4 isn’t too clear but it’s probably the single comb one who might be male, unsure on pic 5 & 6 but it looks like one of the chickens in the 7th pic (which seem to all be girls), middle GLW in pic 8 is cockerel, pic 9 isn’t too clear and the last pic boy on right.

So far and based on what is visible, you have one GLW cockerel, the other GLW is a pullet and both Easter Eggers appear to be pullets.

they look like araucana to me. I didnt know EE had beards?

At first they told is they were speckled sussex. Then they didn't have speckles. Then we thought they were ameraucana. Then someone told us they were araucana. Lol. So now they are easter Eggers? Lol. Good to know

They're absolutely EE's.

I believe the Wyandotte with the proper rose comb is your only cockerel. Rose combs can be tricky though and redden up early. Post updated pics in 4 more weeks.

I‘m the one who wrote this thread and trust me, they’ll still lay colored eggs, but they are not pure breds.
