Roo or Hen?

Hard to tell a rooster or hen. Do you have any other pictures - Any other australorp roosters or hens to compare too?
Curious, how do check the eggs for fertility?

I have a Blue Australorp male -- 8 months or so. There's little ambiguity about an Australorp -- so there's something odd going on with the OP's bird.

Looks like a hen feathered rooster.....I'm really on the fence, body says hen, face says roo, stance says roo. probably a hen with hormone issues. Temperament and spurs aren't good indicators of gender.
I have heard in some instances when there is no rooster in a flock, a dominant hen may start to take on the characteristics of a rooster. She may occasionally crow, become the flock protector, break up fights and become the flock leader. Pretty amazing, huh!
