This is a 5month old Brahma/ Maran mix.

That is most definitely a rooster. The saddle feathers and bright coloring and large comb are a big indicator. Has it started attempting to crow at all?

Nope. Nor has it started mating. But I have some other roosters so I wondered if this might be why.

Nope. Nor has it started mating. But I have some other roosters so I wondered if this might be why.

Mating isn’t always an indicator . My hens mate all the time. It might not have a chance too
