Roo or hen?

I am thinking roo but the barring throws me off. This is my Barred EE. He or she has a single comb. Help me out. He/she is almost 3 months old.

hard to tell for me but I'd guess a boy for a comb that big on a 3 month old. But I got a 50/50 chance of being wrong

That is Girl. The black in her barring is the same size as the white, so she doesnt have the double white like a male would.


By the way, that is a Normal Size Comb

I vote girl. I don't think the comb is big nor is it red looking in the pic. It also appears that the hackle feathers are rounded.

I'm voting girl too. Looks like girly barring to me. Males have the lighter barring.........

Best way to tell gender. Put it in a pen and wait to see if it crows or lays.
