Roo or hen?

This 10 week old was purchased as a pullet. It has a much larger comb and waddles than the others and it's feet and legs are much larger, too.

It really varies. Some start as early as two weeks while others don't start until a 6 months or so.

Found the BR roo attempting to mate with our giant blue cochin hen in the corner of the coop this evening. They are all approx 11 weeks old. No harm seemed to be done, but when should we remove the rooster we do not plan to keep?

Hello Friends,
I'm guessing I have a roo here??? I have 11 - 11 wk old babies....heard a cockadoodledoo yesterday morning but didn't see who it came from!! I'm guessing this sweet "Easter Egger" as he is much larger than my other and his coloring, his legs seem much bigger as well. He doesn't have the temperament of my last rooster, very sweet and not at all "chest bumpy" or aggressive with others!! My little bantam Cochin frizzle seems to have more of the personality....but since there was no cockadoodling this morning, I'm just not sure.
