Roo or Hen

Never had an issue with any of my roosters with my hens. My EE that stood about 2.5ft tall certainly didn't like me after awhile, though! So sweet with the girls but attacked people on sight. lol

If you have too few hens, you may notice him being a little "overbearing" on them. Just watch for missing feathers on the backs of hens.

Thanks. Hope he is gentle. I don't want attacked but will give me a chance. He will be with 5 hens.

I don't deny the bird in question is a male. However, you cannot call him a rooster until he reaches 1 year of age. Until then he is a cockerel. The same for the girls, pullet until 1 year of age, hen thereafter.

He is pretty.
