Roo or Pullet? 8 Weeks Old

My broody hatched a chick and am looking for the community opinion on gender. The father is a Speckled Sussex and the mother is either a Speckled Sussex or Buff Orpington (a Buff went broody and sat on 20 eggs, so no idea who laid it.) It is about 8 weeks old (Mama still hasn't weaned it.)

Any guess whether Roo or Pullet? The last pic is the father. I just had to throw him in!

I agree. Definitely looks like a Pullet. (However, I'm no pro).

Your roo is particularly gorgeous.

It is great that you included a pic of the father. It actually can be quite helpful to see a pic of the father and/or mother when determining a chick's gender.

no comb color or wattle growth. can't see the saddle well but would have to go with pullet for now.

Thanks all! I suspect it is a pullet too, and glad to get your opinions. 2 of the 3 SS I got from the feed store turned out to be Roos and don't need any more. I had to cull the rapey one, but the one I have left is AMAZING! He has every positive Roo behavior trait, and not a single negative one.
