Bear with me, I am new to roosters.
My 5mo guy is starting to act like he might be in charge of my little Flock of Six.
Five of the hens will be 2yo soon, the last is a littermate of the rooster.
After a long Winter of confinement to their coop or fenced yard, I have been able to let them out to freerange in the past couple days.
They headed for a sheltered spot under some pine trees & I hear Mr Roo talking to the hens who don't appear to listen.
But then, who really listens to a teenager?
This morning I saw him chest-bumping a couple of the Big Girls.
WTH is up with that?
Are the ladies putting him in his place?
Wil he ever get to be Boss?
