That's still a difficult one for me... based on the first pics, I thought roo... now I'm not so certain.

(and I'm talking about the maran... the blue is a pullet)

I know...the Maran is a puzzle to me. The hackle feathers seem blunt and the saddle feathers, too. The tail feathers worry me, though. I probably could take the BO anyway and wait awhile longer to be sure on the Maran...what's one more chicken, right?

Thanks for confirmation on the blue Jersey. I've been 98% sure she was a pullet but those hackle feathers are kinda pointy...then again, she looks just like the photos of blue JG pullets I've seen online, even down to those pointy-ish hackles.

If I still have the Maran in 2-3 weeks, I'll take more photos and post them here for further discussion.
