I have 4 Orpington pullets 4 months old that I raised from chicks. About 2 months ago I got an EE Roo who Is now about 9 months old. I allowed the Roo to roost in the horse barn while the girls were maturing but I would now like him in the coop at night. They all free range together during the day but go their separate ways at dusk. I’ve been catching him and placing him in the coop hoping that he would he get the idea but he has not caught on. He loves hanging out with our horses.
Should I just let this go? Are there any big pros or cons to him sleeping separately?
