I have a 9 month old Salmon Faverolles (Hoot--because he's a hoot!) rooster who I think has a cold. We have our chickens in a coop attached to an 8 foot run, and they can go in and out as they please. When we had our first frost a couple months ago, for some crazy reason, he decided to ditch his girls and sleep outside in the cold. A couple days later, he was sneezing/coughing and kept his beak open. We put him in the nursery by himself in case he was contagious and gave him vetRX until it cleared up. After he seemed back to normal, we put him back with his girls and he was doing fine. This week, he started sneezing and hanging his beak open again and acting lethargic, so we put him up again. He is eating and drinking normally and his poop looks normal. Does this sound like a cold or something else? Is there anything else I can do to help my boy get to feeling better?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
