Roo with possible Gapeworm?

I will quarantee you that you won't find Gapeworms with a Q-tip in a 7 month old bird, I'ts impossible to get deep enough with a reg Q-Tip.. Most liklely you are dealing with a respiratory issue..with the smell, I'll say Coryza

Well he hasn't been eating as much lately..a few days ago, he had a large lump, but it was gone the next morning. He just ate some feed. The smell coming from the left nostril does smell "sour" Ugh, I about puked! He wont let me open his beak

I'm scared of him..lol he's not mean, but that beak is HUGE and he shuts it quickly and hard. So strange because he acts normal otherwise. Except he can't crow. Right now he's preening himself.

Even without a runny nose, stools or "cold" like symptoms? Although, about a month back, he was sneezing and had a slight runny nose. Before I knew it, the runny nose was gone. I'm going to Tractor Supply tmrw...what treats Coryza?

Thanks

Now I'm certain he's got sour crop. His breath smells sour, it's not his nose. This would explain the gurgling, NO discharge and not eating like he normally would.

My Roo has the same symptons. I gave him some Ivemectin. I am guessing at what to do according to some other posts I read. Please give details about what you do and how he does. I have a hen in the same cage with him that has the same symptons and I am treating them both. They are bantam Seabrights and very little. I started off by giving them antibiotics and then decided they must have gapeworm, by the symptoms. Funny, we both live in Florida.

I'm going to start antibiotics too. His breath smells sour, but he's also got some yellow phlegm in his throat..idk what he has

My girls aren't showing any signs...I'm clueless:rant Have you checked your roos throat? If so, do you see any mucus? Yeah, I'm in central florida

When I gave them the Ivemectin I pryed their mouths open and I didn't notice anything, but, honestly I didn't know to look. Today his comb color is better. It had been nearly colorless. He still eats. I have continued the antibiotics even though it is probably overkill. I have 4 silkies in the pen where they were and they don't seem sick at all. I am going to stop today and get some valbazen and go ahead and treat all 30 of my flock after Christmas. I also am going to get my vet to check the poop from all 5 of my pens, and I am going to put down sevendust, and clean each pen, again after Christmas. I will let you know what my vet says.
