Roo with torn nail WTD?

Just noticed that my roo tore his nail of his back toe. Some dried blood noticed but the nail is still on just twisted alittle. I wanted to know if I need to do something or is it "too far from its heart to kill it"?

What I would do is bandage his toe up with antibiotic ointment (not pain-reliever ingredient), cotton, and medical tape or sport wrap. This is how I tend to treat any external injury on our birds. There are probably many better ways to deal with it, though. Hope he's OK!
